Looking at getting a new car, since my Acura TSX looks like it may be on its way to its grave unfortunately. Does anyone have experience with a 9th gen V6 accord coupe? Looking at one that is about 46k miles, clean title, documented service history, and no major repairs.

*crappy pic is of actual car in question

I have experience with an 8th gen 6-6. Absolutely love it, and I don’t think there’s a better “appliance car” made.

Awesome! I’ll probably end up with a auto-6, but I’m looking for something somewhat sporty, but still a really good DD that I can have passengers in comfortably.

2004. Seems to be something with the suspension. Not totally sure yet, but as we were looking to replace it by the end of year something going wrong will probably push that up to sooner rather than later

Wow, you’re the perfect person for this!!

How does it drive? How’s the trans? Have you had any problems with it? Anything specific to look at it before buying? Any anything else you think might be useful to know before buying I would really appreciate!!

Here’s mine the day I got it (late July)

Kinja'd!!!

I’ve put just about 2000 miles on since

Mine was a 1 owner local car with a decent history at the local Honda dealer

I love a lot of the toys it has. I came from a rather base model C30 (behind my accord in that pic) so getting leather, heated seats, sunroof, built in sat radio, lane watch, lane departure warning, keyless start, paddle shifters, and fog lights was a really nice change.

It rides firmer than you’d expect a Honda to ride. Honestly, it’s feels firmer than my lowered C30 which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. But it’s more sport car than luxury car like your Acura

6 speed auto with paddles. In normal drive mode, it shifts extremely early to save fuel. On cold starts, it’s actually a little rough and you feel it changing. It usually calms down when it warms up though.

Sport mode is nice, you get a lot of power and noise, shifts are held a bit longer and it uses all that v6 power.

Honda has somewhat interesting service intervals on it to try and protect the transmission. I’m pretty sure it’s every 30k to flush the transmission fluid. Itll have the remainder of a 5 year 60k power train warranty.

For the price, you get a relatively solid, loaded, quick car. For me, it’s honestly a little too racer and not enough luxury. Also, the trunk weighs nothing and annoys me. The color radio display is laid out poorly. I don’t even bother using the touch screen.

It does easily get 30 mpg on longer drives which is nice. It handles very well and seems pretty comfy for long trips.

I’d definitely give it a look and test drive because it wasn’t what I expected.

Let me know if you have any other questions!
